Louisa Kostrzewski

BS, MSN

Louisa Kostrzewski brings a wealth of personal, academic, and professional experience to the field of mental health. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and subsequently pursued a Master’s degree in Nursing at Johns Hopkins University. She is currently completing her doctorate in Psychiatric–Mental Health at Johns Hopkins University, a world-renowned medical institution.

As a doctorally prepared mental health provider, Louisa can provide both pharmacological and therapeutic care while remaining engaged in academic research. Her clinical philosophy is rooted in holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual.  “Our mental health does not exist separately from our physical health, daily habits, environment, or relationships,” Louisa explains. This understanding drives her comprehensive approach to care, one that extends beyond medication management to emphasize therapy, behavioral change, and sustainable wellness.

With over five years of experience as a psychiatric registered nurse, Louisa has worked extensively with adolescents and adults with an array of diagnoses, including eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and more. Her nursing career has been deeply rooted in residential treatment settings, where she cared for complex patients with diverse and co-occurring mental health conditions. Earlier in her career, she worked as an emergency department nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, where she gained a strong foundation in acute psychiatric care and crisis intervention.

Motivated by early personal experiences witnessing the devastating impact of eating disorders, Louisa made it her mission to help others find recovery. She has served as an eating disorder recovery mentor and as a nursing supervisor at an adolescent eating disorder residential treatment center.

“Being a part of someone’s mental health recovery journey is an honor,” Louisa shares. “Thank you for trusting me with yours.”
