Relentless Depression? Troubling Anxiety? Persistent Trauma?
Your Healing Journey Begins Today
at the Inspired Ketamine Spa
You’re hurting. You’re trying to heal. It could be depression, anxiety, or some form of trauma. But most importantly it is your unique combination of pain. A ketamine journey – especially one in a spa-like setting – is your opportunity to train that pain: Make it sit beside you, not inside you. It’s a two-hour reprieve just for you. No phones. No emails. No doom scrolling. No text messages. No expectations or demands on yourself. It’s like a sunset breeze on the beach and you have the beach all to yourself. Here, you will find comfortable, home-style recliners, soft music, low lighting, beautiful original artwork, and the pleasant aroma of diffused oils. Here, you will find warmth and compassion led by nurses who focus on you as the whole person – not just the administration of your medication. After more than 2,000 ketamine sessions conducted in our spa, we find that the most meaningful breakthroughs occur in a warm and relaxed setting. Most of our patients visit the Inspired Ketamine Spa twice a month or more. We want you to be at peace, feel at home and reap the full rewards from your ketamine experience. You deserve it.
We Believe that Ketamine Should be Affordable
If you’ve explored your ketamine options in the Kansas City area, you’ve probably found that it can be expensive – often $500 or more per session. One reason for that is that most clinics provide ketamine through blood transfusions, which can be costly to administer. We’ve found that the cost of ketamine infusions can be a true barrier preventing access to care. To make ketamine more accessible to our patients at the Inspired Ketamine Spa, we provide ketamine through sublingual troches (flavored gel lozenges which dissolve under the tongue). In addition to a lower cost (only $300 per session), troches mean no needles, which our clients also appreciate. Our clients who have tried both infusion and troches report that they felt little or no difference in their responses. All sessions are two hours and monitored under the safety of medical supervision.
Choose from Individual or Group Sessions
At the Inspired Ketamine Spa, we offer both group and individual sessions. In our group sessions, we facilitate a light degree of group psychotherapy. We find that the group dynamic generates significant breakthroughs for the participants. They tend to be devoted, long-term patients. For your convenience – and because not everyone wants to participate in a group – we also offer individual sessions with a variety of times available to fit your schedule. The individual sessions do not include a psychotherapy component. We invite you to try both. Find out what works for you.
Ketamine vs. Spravato: What’s the Difference?
Ketamine has been in use since the Vietnam war as a fast-acting anesthetic. Studies over the next 40 years demonstrated that ketamine could rapidly improve conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and suicidality. While ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic, psychiatrists have been prescribing it off-label since the 2010s because of its versatility and rapid impact. Spravato is an FDA-approved form of ketamine (esketamine) used to address treatment-resistant depression. Spravato is often covered by insurance when being prescribed for that reason. Experientially – for both ketamine and Spravato – many people report visual imagery, an altered sense of self or ego, time distortion and spiritual or transpersonal experiences. We are sometimes asked, “Is ketamine a psychedelic?” Well, yes and no. Classic psychedelics occur in nature such as psilocybin (aka “mushrooms”) and mescaline (aka “peyote”). Ketamine is synthesized in a lab, but it creates a psychedelic-like state that can support therapeutic insight, emotional processing and changes in neuroplasticity.
