PMHNP-BC, Clinical Director

Clinical Director, PMHNP-BC
Elizabeth Blanchard Hills is a seasoned Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a wealth of leadership experience at Inspired Psychiatric Care (IPC), where she serves as Clinical Director and cofounder.

“One of my key achievements at IPC has been fostering an environment that greatly contributes to employee satisfaction, resulting in a notably high retention rate within our organization,” says Blanchard Hills.

She developed a comprehensive program at IPC for precepting graduate students, many of whom become providers at IPC after graduation. “We at IPC are proud that our graduate students have a 100% board pass rate—demonstrating the effectiveness and rigor of our precepting program,” she says.

Blanchard Hills enjoys collaborating with her team of fellow PMHNPs. “IPC was cofounded by a nurse and today is led by nurses,” she says. Under her leadership, the IPC team is currently developing new lines of business, including expanding its psychedelic medicine clinic and implementing an ADHD Center of Excellence.

Before transitioning into healthcare, Blanchard Hills was an award-winning television medical reporter. She earned her RN/BSN in 2008 and completed her PMHNP program at Vanderbilt in 2018. Prior to cofounding IPC, she worked at Heartland Behavioral Health and Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, treating a wide range of mental health conditions.

In addition to providing medication management, Blanchard Hills specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR)—a form of psychotherapy designed to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences.

Off the clock, Blanchard Hills serves as a member-at-large on the Kansas chapter of the APNA, a board member of the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Alumni Association, and a mentee in the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program. Her leadership and expertise are also recognized through her role on the credentialing committee for Blue KC. She is a past advisory board member for Takeda Pharmaceuticals.

Her volunteer work includes the development of “Compañero Ayudante,” a behavioral health initiative in Honduras aimed at reducing trauma in orphaned girls.
