Tricia Ebert

PMHNP-BC, LMSW, LMAC

Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Tricia Ebert worked for more than 15 years in the field of mental health as a social worker and addiction counselor. This experience allows Tricia to be especially strong in providing psychotherapy along with medication management.

“I am passionate about changing the paradigm in psychiatric treatment to support and provide holistic treatment for mental health difficulties,” Tricia said. “My practice extends beyond psychiatric diagnosis and medication management by utilizing an eclectic, holistic, trauma-informed approach with personalized, evidence-based interventions tailored to the patient’s needs.”

Born and raised in Kansas, Tricia has also lived for two years in Costa Rica and ten years in Denver. “I am in Kansas now to be close to family,” she said. “But my heart is in the mountains.”

Tricia’s experience includes working with diagnoses of depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar, domestic violence, substance use/addiction, ADHD, autism, psychosis, adjustment disorders, stage of life transitions, hospice, relationship issues, eating disorders, suicidal ideation, and general mental health concerns.

Along with providing mental health assessment/diagnosis and psychopharmacology management, she is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Gestalt, psychodynamic, eye movement desensitization reprogramming (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

“I also utilize nutritional and dietary interventions for mental health and wellness as our gut-brain connection is essential for mental health healing,” Tricia said. “I work to help patients achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle that supports mind-body connection for greater healing and enhanced well-being.”

Tricia believes that the practitioner-patient relationship is a powerful healing agent. “It is an honor to be a vital part of this dynamic,” she said. “My aim in treatment is to partner with patients in their care, instill hope, empower them to overcome obstacles, gain resilience, and to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. To heal, the whole person must be understood and supported.”
